Our plans for Galacon kind of fell through - all of a sudden we had no means of travel there. Won't go into details, but this just means I won't be coming to Galacon with the Rarity fursuit.
There, however, is a very good certainty about two Finnish cons I will be going this year still: Ropecon at the end of July, then Tracon in September - and at least in Tracon we'll be ponysuiting if you for some reason want to catch us.
Other things... hum, heh, not much. Continuing rp'ing at www.demagicks.com, continuing to be a horrible procrastinator about arting, continuing making yet more EDH decks in MtG... you know, the usual.

Go there if you want to find... well, a lot of the same stuff I post here, plus whatever randomness I happen to fancy to reblog. Go look there if you feel like it or something.
Also, it's now pretty certain that Rarity(moi) and Sweetie Belle (furball891) (the fursuits) will be coming to Galacon(Ludwigsburg, Germany, August 3-4) this year, so if you happen to be around there feel free to come say hi
And still open for commissions, between 5 and 30 euros depending on the amount of actual work the picture will be. Ask me and ye shall receive.

Rarity and Sweetie Belle (furball891) fursuits finally done, as is evident. A lot of fun were had when doing them, and even more so in the Helsinki Bronymeet on the 20th.
No clue if we are going to have more ponies in our group, though we are glad to help with any questions about making them. Should also have some making-of pics around sometime soon, as it was kinda fun to document the road to finished suits.
I would type a colossal rant about people who get butthurt about 'fursuiting ruining ponies' reputation'... but frankly it's not worth the time.
EDITUM ADDENDUM: Couple of galleries from the bronymeet month ago, I totally forgot to actually post links. Aside from us, there's quite a bit other pony stuff going on too, heh. sharkma.ecxol.net/images/index… and www.flickr.com/photos/89110551…
Commissions
I am open for commissions, between 5(simplish sketch akin to most of my B/W pics) and 30(as detailed as I can do) euros depending what you want me to draw, how detailed/inked/colored etc. Ask me!
(No porn though, because I frankly have no clue how to draw that, pony or otherwise.)

So yes, Desucon was awesome. I should have pics pretty soon, uploading tonight if I remember. Also, never going to a con again without cosplay, it was way too much fun
I haven't been that active lately for few reasons, though mostly it's just been a month or so of 'not much else than pointless sketchage' in the art department. Inspiration has been kinda half-there a lot. I am, however, working on another big pic, after which I will at least aim to continue with the themes, last 30 or so of them.
A lot of rp art has been around because... well, it's inevitable when you rp this much, on a nearly daily basis. Heh. You can check out the rp here: www.demagicks.com/ and our dA gallery here: The-Lusty-Seapony-RP - feel free to come poking on the rp-peanuts channel if you're interested
Been playing a lot of (casual) Magic the Gathering lately. 21 decks for casual play probably sounds insane xD
Gaming-wise, D3 hardcore (and not even a lot of that).
...
Other than that... err, I have a job now? Woo.
EDIT: I meant to also write here that Yes, I do take commissions, ranging between 5 and 30 euros(via PayPal or Finnish bank transaction) based on just what/where/when/how you want drawn. Feel free to ask for more details, I am willing to try and draw just about anything!
Addendum to the edit: no porn. Not because I have any problem with it as subject matter, but because I have literally just about never drawn it, you are better off asking someone who actually knows their shit. I will mention when I feel confortable in my ability to draw ze act (if ever) - and thus taking money for it. Sexy teasing, nudity, implications etc I am perfectly fine with, I just know jack shit about drawing the act itself...
Another addendum: I draw about 99% female characters. So ye be warned if asking for males(especially humanoid ones).

So I decided to finally test our if I can livestream my artage.
Apparently I can, with rather minimal fumbling. (can be found here: livestream.com/foxofwar)
I will update my journal whenever I'm streaming (IF I remember!) with as much forewarning as I possibly can forecast my inspiration, and will give a note on MLP-ATG-Alumni's IRC (irc.shattereadtears.com, #mlp-training-grounds) when I'm about to start. Chances are though, most of them will stay relatively spontaneous and on-the-spot type things.
The 400th pic (theme #1) is going on decently, although still got a lot to do. The final character count ended up at eight(!!), and I'm currently about 1/4 done with shading(if that). I will be streaming doing said pic in the following week or so, btw.
Ponies. Yes.
(Still up for commissions, price range in the 5-to-25 euros, subject matter/amount of characters/details/colors all affect stuff. Negotiable, just ask me.)
UPDATE: I will be streaming later today, around 8PM GMT+2 (6PM GMT, I think it's 10AM PST) - will be a sketch "request" stream, aka will draw whatever silly ideas I either come up with myself or someone else mentions.

100-Themes-Challenge is still going on strong. As of this writing, I am up to seventy(!!) of them. That's about seven times more pics than I've done regarding a single idea. But I guess the beauty of this is that it's certainly NOT a single idea, but a wild collection of them. Only 30 of 'em left (and few of those already sketched or further). I will aim to finish this before a year from my starting (1st July) is up. Wish me luck?
Doing something a bit special for my next theme, which is coincidentally enough theme #1(picked at random!) and will be my 400th deviation. So far I've sketched four characters out of not-sure-yet-how-many, and spent about seven hours on the pic. Sketching. So, yeah, there will be detail or eleven. That said, this will take quite obviously some time. I won't submit anything else either while I am doing this, so for the next week or so you won't likely see much here. I can only hope my stubborn streak and will to do this RIGHT overrides the want to do anything else before that, artwise.
Since it is a theme, it will be ponies. But it will be with quite a bit more detailed approach than what I usually do when I draw ponies. It won't be in FiM-style because I *want* to do said details. Not quite as realistic style as the recent Twilight pic I did though, heh. Hopefully it will be epic and worth the wait.
Aside from that, not much.

Yarr. Been a while since I wrote this thingy here.
First up, just a note: I am up for commissions(read: freaking broke and need money), ranging between 5 euro quickie (like this: foxofwar.deviantart.com/art/Th… or this: foxofwar.deviantart.com/art/Ci… ) to ~20-25 euro, complicated, colored, multi-character work (like this: foxofwar.deviantart.com/art/In… or this: foxofwar.deviantart.com/art/Th… ). As far as payment goes, PayPal or Finnish bank transaction.
Subject matter(ie. how naturally/easily I can draw it) and the amount of background/detail affect the price, but these things are negotiable. But if it's pony, pokemon/pokemorph or transformation/anthro art - and female, chances are I'll do it cheaper since that's what I know how to do
As of this writing, I have completed 44(and three more in various stages of completion) out of the 100ThemesChallenge, feeling pretty happy about that. As you might've noticed, had to change the target date from the end of September to end of this year since I just couldn't keep on doing them quite that well every day - inspiration is a fickle beast sometimes. But I hope I can get there in the end. At least my inspiration to draw ponies is not waning.
Speaking of which, Sunday marked first time in ages I actually drew something decidedly not-pony - will upload that later.
I'll also plug the MLP-ATG-Alumni, since that group is always great for inspiration via IRC
Aside from those... derp, I got nothing. Commish me? *sheepish grin*

...yea, still only drawing ponies. Bear with me! (Unless, of course, you're +devstalking me BECAUSE of me drawing ponies. In which case, do go on.) I will still return to my tf-y roots.
Anyway, you might have noticed: I started the 100ThemesChallenge yesterday, with my sister furball891 - she draws a random pokemon, I draw ponies. Growing up is for the weak!
If this challenge doesn't get ponies out of my system, nothing will.
MLP-ATG-Alumni seems to be rocking on with full steam, so at least once a week my 100-theme-challenge daily theme will also integrate into the weekly submission there. I will be trying to vary which ponies I do, but rest assured, Rarity and Luna will still likely hold the top spots...
Interesting thought that has passed my mind this past week: I seem to be a person of conflicting interests. At least if said interests' particular fandoms at large are to be believed: I'm a furry, tf-artist, brony, wow player and a pokemon fan. A good chunk of each would like to prefer the rest didn't exist, it seems. What does that make me? *grin*
Pointless, but fun: www.youtube.com/watch?v=oL2V8d… (although only if you understand Finnish).
Hmm. I should probably think about getting that graphics tablet sometime this year. Yeeah...

First off, apologies to anyone who has +devstalked me because of transformation art and me not producing nuthin' but ponies this past month. Rest assured, I will return to drawing more weird costume/transformation/"bweetiful female body" once I get the ponies out of my system. Which might not be in a while, and probably not permanently anytime nearest future.
So, onto today's topic of choice: just what is with those confounded ponies? Why do I draw so much of 'em these days?
So, what exactly makes those ponies so awesome to draw? Well, part of it is, I guess, the absolute cuteness they possess. I mean, you have to be *very* cynical to not love those fillies.
Some of it has to be the utter cross-over compatibility - I mean, you can do a pony crossover of just about anything. So far, I've crossed over with references of AQUA, half a dozen other bands(I have a Mr. President pony pic in the works), Magic: The Gathering, Animorphs... and at least couple more in my sketchbook waiting to get scanned.
One reason for me is that they really let me go wild with colours: with no real presets for colour unlike when drawing tf of "real" animals, I get to use a lot more bright and varied colours outside the usual grey/black/white/brown that most tf gets.
One reason is a lazy one: they are relatively fast to draw, meaning that one can draw more of them. Heh.
And one reason is Equestria Daily's "Newbie Artists Training Grounds", which prompts pony art of me once a day. Not that I mind. *sheepish grin*
EDIT: After reading "Spark" by AVeryStrange, I have to add something. Namely, fanfics of the awesome kind. Because for every Cupcakes out there, this fandom writes a dozen stories that are amazing wrapped in sweet wrapped in awesome wrapped in humor wrapped in heart-wrenchingly emotional. And these things, they inspire me GREATLY.
---
Other than ponies, in my life? Hmm. ProvinssiRock provinssirock.fi/ is in a week, and I'm going there. Trying my darnest not to giggle like a little girl. Before that, on Thursday night, I'm going to go see Linkin Park live for the second time within a year. (I have a feeling it might end up causing some weird, WEIRD pony crossover art...)

It's 6am, I practically haven't slept the whole night, I should get to work in an hour or so...(*)
Anyway, random ramblings time!
So yea, ponies have invaded my life. I'm not sure I really mind. But I am a regular sight at the comments over at Equestria Daily for bit over week now - and I have been really positively surprised by the quality of most of the fanfics over there(although at least I know to avoid *certain* tags from now on...), and the utter amounts of art that gets posted in there. Not to mention the freshly started pony practice drawing daily thing, which gives an excuse to draw even more ponies.
Also a bit related, doing the AQUAstria pics was really fun, and I will upload the last two soon as I get back my dear PhotoShop - I reinstalled this desk computer of mine, and only then realized the install CD for PShop is 100km the other way at the moment. *shrugs* Such is life.
Gaming wise, started playing the Red Alert 3 campaigns with a friend and it's flippin' awesome. The game is so insanely over-the-top you can't help but love it.
Tried Megaman X4, didn't like. It just lacked... that certain something which made the first three click with me. Go fig.
...and been playing a lot of League of Legends. A lot.
My summer job practice started, I kinda like it even though it makes dead tired so very much. It does get me moneys though, so it's okay I guess.
---
(*)If you're familiar with the MLP:FiM fandom, you probably have heard of "Cupcakes"... I'll leave it at that. Consider yourself lucky if you don't know what it is. Don't google it either if you value your sanity and have as wild imagination as I do. You have been warned.

Uggg... got a pretty hefty dose of technicolor yawning today. Something I ate really did not agree with me. Did not help that I also generated a huge delirium tremens. 'Course, that's what you get from drinking too much, so can't really blame anyone but myself. The thoughts here will be random, and in no order of importance - just feel like writing this.
The graphic project I did was, interestingly enough, partial success. The map I did for it wasn't apparently up to standards, but everything else was. Of course, you can fit my knowledge of and experience in any kind of map drawing to a 160-mark text message, so it's not like it was that big a surprise.
Decided to finally quit WoW. The drive for raiding is just gone, and that was just about the only thing that kept me in the game anymore. Also partly because good part of the people I started raiding with are now gone, replaced by people I really do not know. Guess it was stubborn for me to hang about for as long as I did, though. It's stupid: I want to like the game more, I love the lore and art style of it, but when I actually play, I find it dull.
Instead, I've started playing League of Legends. It's very much fun, doesn't last quite as long as DotA tends to, and it's new compared to the fact that I know just about everything worth knowing in DotA. Sometimes you just need to find a new game and give up with the old, I guess. I also have probably bought just a few skins too many... of the ten heroes I have gotten, I have bought different skin for six of 'em. And planning at least couple more...
I also played through Megaman X, X2 and X3 - well, except the last part of the last boss in X3, which is so sadistically hard that I relented and just watched the ending in Youtube. The music of those games is, by the way, made of awesome. Next up, trying to see if I can find X4 somewhere and if it's any good.
This spring in school is nearing it's end, and time to start practice on the 16th. Which, now that I think about it, would have destroyed any chance to raid even if I wanted to, given how late those things go. Huh.
You may also have noticed that those confounded ponies have been in my mind as of late. *sheepish grin* What can I say? The series is just that good, and the art related is adorable. I also possibly may have inflicted the addiction to my sister
...where was I heading with this? I don't know. Just... stuff. Things.
Huh.

- Listening to: Yö - Rakkaus on lumivalkoinen
- Reading: Animorphs, book 42 atm
- Watching: People looking at me oddly for drawing what I draw
- Playing: League of Legends

Did add myself to the TF World Map: www.zeemaps.com/209842
Been playing WoW: Cataclysm, with kind of fixed feelings. The raids are great, but I'm pretty sure I can take no more questing in that game. At least, not on the Horde side. Dungeons are fun, but I've been burning out a bit on actually tanking them, preferring healing. Raids are still excellent though. My main's(Saiyann the Tauren druid) guild is < Murder of Crows >, can be found over here: murderofcrows.ws
We did create a Finns-only guild on Hellscream EU - Alliance side. Called < Omituisten Otusten Kerho >, based on the supreme awesomeness that is this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq-rsw… ; anyone wanting to join can poke me via either here or in-game - my two characters are the Worgen warrior Efférine, and Draenei priest Ayatar. Oh, and kind of necessary is knowledge of the Finnish language, sorry to non-Finns. For now our aim is to simply experience the Alliance side of things, being core Horde players until now, and perhaps aim for some light 10man raiding if we get enough numbers during the summer.
Got Pokémon White last week. Already I've clocked over 50 hours to the game, earnestly finishing up the endgame and starting my numerous breeding projects now that I moved my 'mons over from Platinum. Finally found a Fighting-type I can tolerate: Mienshao. Took only to the fifth gen until that happened, heh. Love the graphics of the game and love some of the new 'mons - though certainly not all. Triple battles seem very fun, going to start creating triple-teams that just make people scream in frustration. After all, breeding & leveling those teams are at least half of the fun in battling IMNSHO.
The aforementioned two games are also part of the reason I haven't been updating much - frankly, my creativity has hidden from me pretty well again. Ye Olde' Art Block is making itself known. Darn thing.
Managed to get myself an actual paid art project, details of which I'm not sure I can release just yet. But it's good
Also managed to get myself a work practice for next summer, again at MTT Jokioinen like last year. So I'm not procrastinating the whole summer, only some of it!

...yea, sorry about that horribad title. But I had to think of something I'd write there. Hehe.
Anywhoo!
What's been going on? Not that much, frankly.
WoW: Cataclysm launched today... and I don't have it. Bloody postal services! So I'll be watching my guildies level up and quest in the new areas and, and... grr. Hmmph. Maybe tomorrow then. Maybe I'll draw something today, or even update this dA gallery. Thingamagics might happen.
In other news, I'm still after commissions should you want me to do one for you. I recently posted over at Anthro-Commissions in hopes of getting one or two. So if you came to look from there, welcome!
My prices are malleable, anything from 5 euros n' up. And unlike the (edited) tag over there says, I really am open-minded in what I can try to draw, just ask me!
I could also do trades if someone's interested, or even requests if they pop up to be up my alley of drawing.
...should probably get to drawing n' upload more art n' do some schoolstuff n' read for a test n' go to eat n', n'... when the hell did I start using "n'" as a term? I think I might have to blame DawnAllies who's been way too actively commenting my art n' being the sole being to actually give thoughtful critique I desperately need
I guess it's obvious I'm rambling by now. Go read this then, it's given me more inspiration than I can count: www.missmab.com

...common sense telling me to go the sleep, body telling me it's too damn early (only 1.30 am, after all) and too damn hot to go to bed yet. I will have to wake up in roughly five hours, but not feeling sleepy at all. So maybe I will ramble a bit about stuff that's floating on my mind.
Gah I wished I could afford something LilleahWest or some other insanely talented costume maker could make - I would love to waltz around in the few Finnish cons we have in a costume like that. Incidentally, I also drew what type the "ideal" costume would be, but didn't upload it yet. But suffice it to say that it would be either a quad-suit or an anthro one(not sure yet, both have good sides), and something between canine and equine in design... and probably not quite limited to those two either. But alas, being the poor jobless student I am atm, will just have to keep on dreaming for now.
Gah I wished (#2) also that I would find... someone special. Someone who would share my views of the world, of art, of... a lot of things. Someone who shares(some, or all of) my love for bad puns, black humor, roleplaying, computer gaming, pokemon, drawing, designing silly things, cosplaying, bantering about random stuff, movies, animation, webcomics, random internet phenomenon & related commentary... uhm, someone. I'll stop here before all three of the people reading this lose their will to live.
Trades & requests: I will - and want to - do them (although looking at my wallet, I certainly would prefer a commission), but if it's a request, it's very much more likely to happen if it has something to do with the art subjects I do, or put bluntly, this: fav.me/d2q5xex ...even more bonus if you can tie in multiple references of inspiration/style from any of the stuff I mentioned in my previous journal. If it inspires and interests me, chances are I will draw it. If it's a trade, I will agree to draw nearly anything under the sun, but the quality will likely be better if it's something I actually know how to draw, hehe.
Same kind of thing with commissions, and I'll throw this in: if it a subject I am largely familiar with (say, a female canine transformation...), I am willing to lower my prices by a hefty amount simply because the drawing will come so much easier for me then. And let's just say my prices are very malleable - throw in a suggestion for a price, and we can go from there.
Recently, I got declined my artist application to Transfur. Not sure what to think about that one. Part of me understands; after all, my art, while decent, is far from good. More to the point, it's far from being "generic" transformation art - more often than not, it's just the idea/aftereffect of the tf that is visible in my art, but the transformation itself is off-screen. Part of me is just confused since there are certainly, hmm, "less talented" people posting over there, though of course that is just a matter of perspective. I hope it was because of my choice of subject and not my skill(or lack thereof) because it's very disheartening to hear when I know I can draw my transformation-ish lines.
Haven't been that actively posting to here lately either, not because I haven't been drawing but because I just haven't been able to FINISH anything in like three weeks now. I have another gigantic sketchdump's worth of random stuff though, I'll likely throw another of those together soon. Well, if can't finish the concepts I have in there, at any rate. We'll see.
Speaking of unfinished concepts, I should get back to roleplying over at PMMush. Seriously. I love the concept, I love my character in there to death (Huyana the Seel-morph), but GOD, something always goes "meh" in my brains when I open the MUSH. *facepalm* Maybe it's the lack of people to play with, maybe it's that most of the players are in the US (and thus, only starting to get on their computers when it's like 2am here... oh hey, it IS 2am here!), maybe... eh, I don't know. But I will try my hand with said roleplaying again, I will if it will kill me.
Currently, I possess stupid amounts of inspiration. Let's hope I can pour it to paper tomorrow and maybe even finish something I start drawing. If not, my head will probably explode and I will have to take sick notice on work for the rest of the week - that doesn't sound half bad, actually... *smack* No, bad artist! No popcorn for you! Back to bed with you!
...I'll clamber back to bed and wish I could sleep. Cheerio.

(And not the kind of influence every birch in three-mile radius of me currently have on me, either. *Achoo!*)
Since I've seen it asked from quite a few artists(myself included) a fair few times - the question of "Where do you get your ideas from? What makes you draw what you do?" - I decided to write a bit about them(that, and I'm at work with nothing much to do atm either
).
So what then drives my drawing? A lot of things. A virtual crapload of things. A metric ton of different things.
First I guess I have to name music, since it's the biggest topic of them(for me, anyway). I listen to a *lot* of different sorts of music. And I mean a lot(*big inhale*): from ABBA to Queen to Iron Maiden to Lordi to Sonata Arctica to Weird "Al" Yankovic to Jonathan Coulton to Yö to Juice Leskinen to Guns N'Roses to Eiffel 65 to Sash! to Europe to E-Type to Captain Jack to Helloween to Kalmah to YUP to Stratovarius to Nightwish to Rammstein to Van Canto to Warmen to Eppu Normaali to Hausmylly to Lou Bega to... I think you get the idea by now.
So yeah, music means a lot to me. And nearly every single (completed) picture I draw is at least partially inspired by a song or seven.
Second up is, to probably no one's surprise, other artists. And again, a lot of 'em. Nearly everyone over at www.transfur.com, for one big influence. A good two dozen artists over here at dA, especially Paperiapina, frisket17, LilleahWest, IsisMasshiro, Scifer, just to name a few. A good dozen of others but it'd take me all day to link 'em all. I'll add to this when I have more time - there certainly are others. Darien Brown over at www.nagasden.com is certainly a strong influence for me, as is obvious from my art.
Third, movies. Aaand again, lot of them. Just about all Disney/Don Bluth/Dreamworks and even Pixar stuff inspire me. Even the occasional bit of anime; can inspire me, though that's mostly just Gin or Pokemon. If it's an animated movie that is even good to a degree, chances are I've seen it and like it. If it's not an animated movie but is a fantasy(/sci-fi) movie of some fame, I mighth've seen it and been inspired by it.
Addendum 16.6: parts that were missing, coming right up:
Fourth, as every other artist on the planet can probably tell, boredom. When you have nothing but time, drawing pad an pencil on your hands, something comes out of it. Often something that you wouldn't have otherwise drawn because when you're bored and your pen just wanders, you get all kinds of wacky ideas right then and there.
Fifth... hmm. All kinds of dance/magic shows, costumes, cosplays, all kinds of stuff that's bit over the "ordinary living" we all do. Incidentally, I have an absolutely insane idea for a cosplay for next summer, but that's neither here or there *cough!*
Six: Books. Lady, My Life As a Bitch I just finished reading last night for the (I think) about 20th time is my absolute favourite of a book, but dozens of others have as well. Fantasy (especially transformation-ific fantasy) inspires me and gives me a lot of stuff to fuel the inner fire. Equally (if not even more so), stories over the internet and especially the awesome writers over at www.shifti.org and TSA-Talk.
Seven: the rest of it. Aside from those specifically mentioned, nearly anything and everything can and will inspire me from time to time; even things not related to the kind of stuff I draw (fav.me/d2q5xex) can inspire me to draw all kinds of things.
Often my drawings are a result of at least good half the above list coming together in a one absolutely crazed idea. And boy do I love it that way.
Here's hoping I gave someone an idea with this lil' "rant" of mine

...where did that decade go? Seriously, it's 2010?
It's been a while since I wrote anything here, so I thought, what the hell.
So what have I been doing? Well, nothing much. Still playing WoW(though changed mains twice, now playing a Resto/Feral Droid), still updating my dA too sparsely, still studying Sustainable Development with varying success. Still procrastinating like no tomorrow. Still occasionally playing PMMUSH(pokemorph.com/), still drawing less than I should. Writing even less. Still playing pokemon on my DS, I now have full two dozen pokéys raised to lvl 100.
This year it becomes full six years of procrastination here in dA. Huh.
Can still do trades and/or commissions if anyone's interested. I doubt it, but I dare ya to prove me wrong!
And at the bottom of it all, I feel kinda lonely here in Forssa. Haven't found anyone who shares my interests in my class or school. *pout*

Eh, decided to update this thingy, was getting bored of the commission stuff on the front page.
No one has asked me about commission, but they're still available should someone want my crap art *sheepish grin*
Prices are negotiable from the start.
Anyway, what's going on with my life?
Eh, uh...
...yeah, I've played too much WoW and don't intend to stop. *grin* I've now played for a year and then some, and been a member(and subsequently officer) of Murder of Crows, a very awesome guild on the Horde side of Bronzebeard EU: www.murderofcrows.ws
My warrior tank Suzhann is level 80 and already packing some raid epics. My shaman Shahzann is well into Northrend at this point, she's 74 before the end of this day. And my hunter Seyhann(see a pattern yet?) is in the Outlands, ready to rock in Survival style whenever I get around to actually play 'er. Heh.
Other than that, been just around, trying to get some studying done inbetween my virtual life, going a school cruise next weekend(oh boy am I going to get some don't-really-want-to-know stories there), just kinda tagging along.
Real Life? What's that? Heresy. Hissss....
